No Land is an artist, poet, filmmaker, photographer, and cultural organizer-- born and working in New York City. Her work has been recognized for continuing the lineage of downtown NYC counterculture, honoring an intuitive vow towards creation. She left art school in 2011, choosing to prioritize community work with downtown artists, poets and activists, such as Occupy Wall Street's street art builders, Steve Cannon's Tribes Gallery, and Anne Waldman's outrider poet communities. As a poet & vocalist, she has performed in collaborative works internationally at Jazzfest Berlin, Crossing Borders Festival in the Hague, Enclave Festival (Mexico City), LaMaMa Galleria (NYC), The Kennedy Center (DC), Roulette Intermedium, the University of New Haven, & other venues.  Her cinema work has screened at The Poetry Project (NYC), Harvard University, the Entanglements Conference, Naropa University, Howl Arts Gallery in New York, Five Years Festival in London and elsewhere. In 2018, she released Authentic Artifice, an art-book of poetry and photographs, published by Newest York. Her photojournalistic work, archiving NYC artist & activist lineages, has been published by Levy Gorvy Gallery, The Brooklyn Rail, Disonare, The Village Voice, The Indypendent, Bill Moyers and others. She is an advocate for prisoner's rights & freedoms, corresponding with and visiting incarcerated artists between Mexico and the U.S. No Land has been grateful to collaborate closely with NYC artists: Anne Waldman, Daniel Carter, Heroes are Gang Leaders, Pat Steir, Fast Speaking Music, Joanna Mattrey & other special spirits. www.maepoe.com
